Y’ALL…FIRST BOULDER CANYON CHIPS AND NOW PRIMAL KITCHEN?!
ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!
Remember the post I made about the lawsuit alleging that Boulder Canyon’s avocado oil chips may contain oils that AREN’T disclosed on the label?
Well…apparently the chips aren’t the only products being questioned!
Now PRIMAL KITCHEN is facing class action lawsuits alleging that some of their avocado oil mayonnaise and salad dressings may contain cheaper, undisclosed oils too!
And y’all…THIS is where things start getting REALLY interesting.
According to the lawsuits, research from UC Davis raised questions about whether the oils in certain products were actually consistent with authentic avocado oil.
And we’re not talking about one random company anymore. Multiple popular brands are now facing lawsuits over similar allegations!
Now, these claims haven’t been proven in court, but HOW BIG DOES THIS PROBLEM HAVE TO GET BEFORE SOMEBODY STARTS ASKING SOME SERIOUS QUESTIONS?!
Because here’s what I want to know…
If companies can charge PREMIUM prices by convincing consumers they’re buying a superior product, what happens when the very thing that makes that product worth MORE is called into question?
Think about that for a minute.
The avocado oil isn’t just another ingredient. For many consumers, it’s the ENTIRE REASON they’re choosing that product over something sitting right beside it on the grocery store shelf!
And if the allegations turn out to be true, we’re not just talking about a little misunderstanding over ingredients.
We’re talking about consumers potentially paying MORE for something they were never actually getting!
And THAT should concern EVERYBODY, regardless of how you feel about seed oils!
Because today it’s avocado oil.
What happens when it’s the organic products? The grass-fed beef? The supplements? The products marketed as being free from certain ingredients?
How much of what we’re paying extra for is actually being independently VERIFIED?
And here’s another question…
If it takes university researchers and class action lawsuits to uncover potential problems like this, what ELSE are we missing?!
I’m not interested in paying a premium for a MARKETING CLAIM.
I want to know that the product inside the package actually lives up to what the company is selling me.
And I don’t think that’s asking too much!

For years, the appendix was often described as a useless organ. But research has revealed that it may play a meaningful role in gut health.
Scientists have found that the appendix contains immune tissue and may act as a reservoir for beneficial gut bacteria, helping support the recovery of the gut microbiome after infections such as severe diarrhea.
It isn’t simply a “safe house” with one confirmed purpose, and scientists are still studying its full role. But one thing is clear: the appendix is far from useless.

Kelloggs and Kellanova are on my list of permanent boycotts, because when RFKj wanted the ban on harmful dyes in food products, Kelloggs refused to comply. When protestors visited their headquarters, bringing 400,000 signed petitions, the company put a sign in a high window of their building, which said "get off my lawn".

They sell safer, cleaner, less toxic versions of their cereals in other countries, without artificial dyes or BHT.

Hershey used to be a great company, but they're also now on my list of permanent boycotts. After the Coofid so-called vax became available, they said the employees who refused to get the vax were fired. In order to get any kind of severance package, those employees had to sign a gag contract, agreeing not to talk to the press about it.

They can go f*ck themselves. I'll never buy Hershey again.
