On June 1, the Texas State Legislature approved a compromise version of SB 2024 that will outlaw prefilled Chinese disposable vapes, but leave refillable products untouched.

I have mixed feelings about it. I would love to see the trashy disposables disappear, but not by government intervention. I don't want any government in my life. I prefer the dissemination of knowledge, through vaping blogs, discussions, advertising.

Remember advertising? Since I don't buy magazines anymore, I don't know if cigarette makers can still run full page ads, but the advertising of vaping seems to be under a total ban (more government interference). There were, for a short time, vaping ads for some brand on late night TV, then those disappeared. If we had advertising, then companies like Aspire and Joyetech could run full page ads touting that you recharge the battery, refill the tank, use any brand/flavor of liquid you like, change flavors whenever you like, keep your same equipment a long time, rather than vaping for a week and throwing away the whole device.
