Good Old Times

May be an image of bone and text

One of the last published photos of John Belushi, just weeks before his death.
This photograph reportedly dates to February 6, 1982, less than a month before John Belushi died at just 33 years old.
It’s strange seeing him like this, looking back at the camera, knowing what was just around the corner.
Belushi was one of the original Saturday Night Live cast members, giving us unforgettable characters like the Samurai, Jake Blues, and the legendary Cheeseburger Guy.
Then came Animal House in 1978. His portrayal of Bluto became one of the most memorable performances in comedy history. Two years later, he reunited with Dan Aykroyd for The Blues Brothers, bringing Jake and Elwood to the big screen.
On March 5, 1982, Belushi died at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.
He was only 33. It’s remarkable how much laughter he packed into those years.
For those who watched him in the 1970s and early ‘80s, there’s really never been anyone quite like him.
What’s your favorite John Belushi moment: Saturday Night Live, Animal House, or The Blues Brothers?
