I never saw the movie, but I read the book. It was a required book in English Lit in high school. Maybe high school. I can't remember. Maybe 8th grade.

I have two of these and a few of the little ones, they were my Grandparents. They are put up because of the kitties. Tigglee is the one that likes to push things off and watch them fall, lol.

Are these Jelly Beans? If so, my auntie used to (or still does) have a HUGE jug full of jelly beans. Maybies, the jug just looked huge cause I was small, lol. Ate a one of them and I about upchucked it, lol, it was nasty tasting.

If, they are not jelly beans, well, just disregard all the above, lol.

Yeah, like my dunderhead Elwood, who pushed my grandma's very very old cookie jar off the buffet and smashed it to bits. I'm still in mourning, I'd rather he'd knocked one of the candy dishes on the floor. I don't even use those.

No, they're not jellybeans. They're just a ball of overly sweet sugar stuff coated in a coating of overly sweet sugar stuff. Whoever invented them was apparently looking for a way to use up some excess sugar. Really, UGH! You can get a cavity just looking at one! LOL!

How very true, I am lucky enough to still have an old deep tub but not claw foot just solid base and I consider it a blessing, I love it

No they were a hard coating of sugar and dye with this funky center that was like a small part marshmallow blended with some other sugar thing,
