Our Health

Hey Jimi,

Ever finish a parasite cleanse, feel great for a few weeks…

And then notice that familiar bloating or brain fog creeping right back in?

It happens all the time, and it’s not because the herbs didn't work.

It’s because parasites don’t just stay in your gut.

They migrate into deeper liver, lymph, and muscle tissues.

And by the time an oral supplement passes through your digestive system…

Only a fraction of it reaches those deeper layers.

So the hidden colonies simply wait out the cleanse, then recolonize.

That’s why my dear husband, Jonathan Otto, paired our ParaPurify botanicals with targeted red light therapy.

Because specific red and near-infrared light wavelengths penetrate up to 3 inches deep…

…boosting cellular energy and supporting your body’s natural purge right where herbs can't reach on their own.

It’s the missing piece to finally clearing invaders at every depth.

See how the 5-Phase Photonic Parasite Purge works here

With love and care,

Hi there Jimi,

In 2013, an engineer at Google named Tristan Harris wrote what would become known as the "Time Well Spent" memo, warning that the products his team was building were not designed to inform people or help them connect. They were designed to hold attention as long as possible and at whatever cost. Google largely ignored his memo. He left, and over the next decade we watched that warning play out almost exactly as he'd described, especially in kids.

Tristan is now co-founder of the Center for Humane Technology and creator of "The Social Dilemma" and "The AI Dilemma".

We know this isn't our normal topic. This podcast traditionally focuses on complex chronic illness, not technology policy. But what's unfolding with AI right now felt too timely and too relevant to sit out, so Dr. Eric Gordon and Dr. Nafysa Parpia met with Tristan to talk about the current AI landscape for the latest episode of the Gordon Medical Forum podcast.

Podcast: Tristan Harris on Protecting

Tristan connects what is happening in AI today directly to the work Dr. Gordon and Dr. Parpia do every day, arguing AI should work with natural human systems rather than replace them, the same principle behind functional medicine.

The conversation covers the "intelligence curse," where an economy's wealth shifts from people to data centers; the water and energy strain data centers already put on communities; and the loneliness epidemic fueled by AI companions built to replace relationships. He is candid about how bad this could get, and just as candid about why he still has hope.

The Missing Variable in Complex Cases Individualized Nervous System Support

How your nervous system responds today reflects how your body has learned to compensate and adapt over a lifetime which is why nervous system work is not a one-size-fits-all proposition.

Our October Forum workshop will explore this highly individual layer of complex illness that is often overlooked, why symptoms persist, why different patients require different approaches to nervous system work, and what changes when we stop asking "what is wrong with this nervous system?" and start asking "what has this nervous system learned to protect against?"

Tick-Borne Illness Global Summit

Dr. Eric Gordon and Dr. Nafysa Parpia will be participating in the upcoming Tick-Borne Illness Global Summit, discussing key treatment therapies tools.

Dr. Gordon will be presenting on Plasmapheresis Advanced Therapy for Lyme & Tick-Borne Illnesses. Dr. Gordon shares that plasmapheresis does not directly cure Lyme disease. Instead, it serves as a tool to help restore more optimal immune function, creating conditions that allow other treatments to work more effectively. By removing inflammatory mediators and immune complexes from the bloodstream, plasmapheresis can help quiet the overactive or misdirected immune responses that characterize chronic tick-borne illness.

Dr. Parpia will be presenting on Bioregulators & Peptides for Lyme and Tick-Borne Illness. Dr. Parpia will share that, when addressing Lyme and tick-borne illness, peptides and bioregulators are best understood as a treatment within a broader process of care. They are not a standalone treatment for most patients with Lyme and tick-borne illness. Used thoughtfully, they can be an important facet of a broader healing protocol, helping patients move beyond symptom management toward more complete recovery.

This week, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and HHS brought new scientific firepower on three fronts in the fight for American health.

First, HHS and the EPA have joined forces to strengthen the federal review of glyphosate. A joint working group of scientists from agencies including NIEHS, the National Toxicology Program, NCI, and the CDC will examine potential effects on cancer, reproduction, dietary exposure, the microbiome, and many others.

Second, Kennedy and HHS pledged to confront the country's mold crisis head-on, hosting an HHS Mold Surveillance Roundtable to spotlight a threat that has gone overlooked for far too long. Kennedy revealed that mold and fungi are linked to roughly 7,300 deaths, 130,000 hospitalizations, and 13 million outpatient visits every year.

Third, HHS and USDA announced major steps to phase out animal testing, replacing it with human-based methods and AI models. USDA will deploy a new Animal Protection Bureau for better enforcement on animal testing, breeding facilities and animal-abuse cases.

As Sec. Kennedy put it, "We will ask the hard questions, demand sound science, and follow the evidence wherever it leads."

At this week's MAHA™ Media Hub, a passionate group of lawmakers, scientists, athletes, and advocates joined us to break down these wins and other ways to help you and your family live healthier lives.

Lina Hjalmarsson Lyons, a non-speaker who communicates through a letterboard and the author of the new book My Life on This Planet, shared her hope that the book will help people understand what autism is and is not. Communicating letter by letter, she explained that autism is not an intellectual disability but rather a painful disconnect between her body and mind. In one chapter, she offers heartfelt advice for those supporting someone on the spectrum: show up, take responsibility, and lead with love rather than lectures. Watch Lina's full segment here.

Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, architect of the Farm Bill’s Luna Amendment, which stripped pesticide companies of their liability shield, credited grassroots callers, especially moms, with making the difference. Framing lawsuits as safety signals that force companies to pay for harm and change their behavior, she noted the amendment drew more than 70 Republican votes, far more than she expected, and urged viewers not to give in to cynicism, because this movement is making a real difference.

Noah Syndergaard, the former MLB All-Star pitcher known as "Thor," shared how he has built his life around clean food, regenerative agriculture, and health freedom. He described a daily routine of cold plunges, workouts, and clean eating built on seed oil-free whole foods. His advice to parents was simple: get kids off iPads and outside to play. He credited his own success to tuning out negativity and always striving to improve.

HHS has opened a public comment period on the potential health and environmental effects of radiofrequency, or wireless, radiation. These questions have long sat with the FCC, but now HHS, the agency with medical and public health expertise, wants to hear from the public, researchers, and clinicians. Share your perspective before the October 21 deadline. Submit a Comment to HHS and to the FCC.
