Halloween is almost here, and you know what that means...

You're at the grocery store, you see all those Reese's Pumpkins, Snickers, and Halloween candy, and you throw a few bags in your cart.

That's what you're supposed to do for Halloween, right?

But who decided that celebrating Halloween means buying all this ultra-processed candy in the first place?!

There’s no rule that says you have to buy those “treats” to celebrate.

You don’t need to poison your kids (or the entire neighborhood!) just to have a little fun.

There are SO many better ways to celebrate!

In my newest book, Food Babe Feast, I've taken over 100 of our favorite foods for holidays, birthdays, and parties and made them with real ingredients. We're talking homemade caramel corn, candy, soft pretzels, birthday cakes, cookies, incredible appetizers, and so much more!

And I included an entire chapter on how to navigate the holidays without falling for the food industry's tricks.

I was just talking about what I call the “Holiday Death Aisle” on a podcast! WATCH HERE

You can start making better choices for Halloween right now:

Xo,

Healthy Halloween handouts:

Baby mandarins or clementines, left in their peel of course. Won't bruise when jostled against other things in the trick or treat bag.
Small bags of fresh popcorn, taped shut
Individual serving bags of trail mix
Individual boxes or pouches of high quality healthy breakfast cereal from the variety packs
Individual snack serving bags of almonds or other nuts
Individually packaged pickle (the sealed package of one)
There also are sealed individual serving packages of olives nowadays.

I left out the individual serving boxes of raisins, because I didn't like them as a kid. I do now, but I don't think it's a kiddie taste. Up to you though.

What I wish I knew sooner as a cancer patient

If I could go back and talk to myself in those early days — the scared, overwhelmed version of me — I’d tell her three simple things that would change everything.

1. You are not broken.
2. You don’t have to do this alone.
3. You can reclaim your peace — right now.

Whether you’re facing a diagnosis yourself, walking beside someone you love, or simply carrying the weight of uncertainty, I want you to hear this – especially if no one has told you lately...

You’re doing beautifully. You’re brave for showing up, caring and learning. Healing isn’t a straight line, and you don’t need to have it all figured out to be making progress.
I’ve spent over two decades turning the lessons I’ve learned as a stage IV cancer patient into a clear, compassionate roadmap for others.

It’s called Your Cancer Guide — a program designed to help people find calm, clarity, and courage no matter where they are on their journey — whether they’re in treatment, remission, or supporting a loved one.

Thousands of students have used these steps to feel more equipped, resilient, and cared for — even in the hardest times.

Inside, we focus on small, steady shifts that help you nourish and strengthen your body, soothe your mind, and fortify your hope — so you can show up for yourself and the people you love with more grace and confidence.

If you’ve ever wished someone would just take your hand and say, “Here’s what to do next,” this is that moment.

You will discover the best supermarket plant foods that can...

 • Keep your blood pressure in a healthier range and improve circulation.

 • Help triglycerides levels and keep blood sugar in check.

 • Feel fuller longer and make maintaining a healthy weight easier.
Again, these aren't expensive, exotic plant foods. They're familiar, delicious foods that are easy to find and enjoy.

For example, you'll discover...

→ The common leafy green that supplies two important nutrients involved in relaxing blood vessels and maintaining healthy blood pressure.

→ A tiny seed rich in plant-based omega-3s that's been studied for its ability to improve blood pressure and cholesterol. (But there's an important trick to eating it correctly!)

→ The versatile and delicious fruit whose healthy fats can help lower LDL cholesterol when eaten in place of foods high in saturated fat.

→ An inexpensive pantry staple that's especially rich in soluble fiber, which helps your body eliminate cholesterol naturally.

Now, let's get back to RASPBERRIES.

Most of us love these sweet, delicious berries. But there's much more to them than their wonderful taste.

First, raspberries contain an impressive collection of polyphenols, including anthocyanins and ellagitannins.

These plant compounds have strong antioxidant properties, and researchers are particularly interested in how they may help protect the delicate lining of your blood vessels from oxidative stress—one of the processes involved in cardiovascular disease.

Second, raspberries are an excellent choice when you're watching your blood sugar.

Despite their sweetness, raspberries have a relatively low glycemic load.

That makes them a delicious alternative to processed sweets that can send your blood sugar soaring.

And keeping your blood sugar under control is crucial because persistently elevated blood sugar can damage blood vessels and greatly increase your risk of heart disease.

Third, raspberries contain a surprisingly large amount of fiber.

Just one cup provides approximately 8 grams—an impressive amount for a fruit.

That fiber helps keep you satisfied, promotes healthy digestion, and contributes to the benefits of a fiber-rich diet for cholesterol and long-term heart health.

The free guide even discusses intriguing early research on raspberry ketones and fat metabolism, which may help triglycerides, as you'll see.

So what's an easy way to enjoy more raspberries?

Try them on oatmeal, in a smoothie, or alongside walnuts and chia seeds.

And remember, raspberries are just ONE of the 11 exceptional foods for your heart, so...

Even better, when you claim your guide, you'll ALSO get a FREE ticket to the worldwide premiere of HEARTproof, beginning November 2nd.

And the expert lineup is impressive!

You'll hear from Dr. Joel Fuhrman, Dr. Mark Hyman, Dr. Joel Kahn, Dr. Jeffrey Bland, Dr. Kara Fitzgerald, Dr. Valter Longo, and many others.

They'll explore fascinating questions, including:

 • Why blood sugar and insulin resistance can threaten your heart years before diabetes is diagnosed.
 • Why normal LDL cholesterol numbers don't necessarily tell you everything you need to know about your cardiovascular risk.
 • Which advanced heart-health tests can uncover risks that routine testing may miss.
 • How your gut microbiome, sleep, stress, and everyday environmental exposures can affect your cardiovascular health.
 • And which diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes can make the biggest difference in protecting your heart as you age.
It's an opportunity to go beyond simply watching your cholesterol numbers and better understand the many factors that influence your heart health.

And remember, both the plant-food guide and your HEARTproof premiere ticket are FREE.

To Living Long and Living Well,

You know how it is…

The kids go trick-or-treating and come home with bags full of Snickers, M&M's, Skittles, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups... and all the usual candy full of artificial dyes, corn syrup, and other controversial ingredients.

If you’re anything like me, you don’t want your children eating those ingredients.

So what do I do with all that candy?

I call in the Switch Witch!

This is one of our favorite Halloween traditions, and my kids LOVE it.

Here's how it works:

On Halloween night, my kids leave their candy by the door. While they're sleeping, the Switch Witch comes and swaps it for better treats, books, and little surprises.

When they wake up, they get to discover what she brought!

I honestly thought my kids might resist this idea at first. But they actually get MORE excited about what the Switch Witch brings than they ever did about eating all that junk candy.

They still get to dress up, trick-or-treat with their friends, and have all the fun of Halloween. And I don't have to worry about them eating a giant stash of candy filled with ingredients we avoid.

And I found something that makes this tradition even easier!

A company called Tricked by the Treat, started by two moms, has put together Halloween candy assortments filled with better treats kids actually get excited about.

We're talking chocolate, gummies, lollipops, crispy treats, Swedish candy, and more!

They even have a Switch Witch adventure book to make the whole candy swap extra fun.

You can get 10% off your order with code FOODBABE!

Shop Tricked by the Treat here!

If you've been wondering how to handle all that Halloween candy without taking away the fun, try the Switch Witch this year!

Your kids might surprise you with how much they love it.

Hey ,

You know that feeling when you look in the mirror and wonder, when did this happen?

Not your face. Not your hair. But the way your body feels when you move.

The careful way you get out of bed now.

How you pause before taking the stairs.

The little ‘oof’ sound you make when standing up from a chair.

Here's what most people don't realize: aging doesn’t have to feel like this.

My friend and renowned anti-aging fitness expert, Robbie Stahl, calls it ‘The Fold’.

A slow forward collapse of your posture you never feel happening.

You see it in someone else and something in you says, not me. I am not going to age like that.

The cruel part? It has nothing to do with effort.

You can stay fit your whole life and still feel like you are aging anyway.

But it isn’t simply aging. And it’s not because you didn’t take care of yourself.

The Fold can instantly add years to how you look and feel.

Straighten it back out, and you restore youthful alignment.

And you can look and feel 10 years younger.

Stretching and ‘sit up straight’ don’t fix it because the misalignment underneath pulls you right back down.

It took Robbie 5 years and a meta-analysis of over a million cases to crack The Fold.

And he’s created one, short Anti-Aging Posture Sequence that movement experts themselves use.

Discover this anti-aging posture sequence in this new guide he created for you.

If you don’t address posture now, it won’t get any better in the years to come.

Don’t let the fold sneak up on you!

Wishing you abundant health,

Jason Prall

P.S. Postural weakness is common, but it isn't normal aging. And it isn't your fault.

It's one hidden posture pattern most doctors and trainers just don’t see or know how to correct.

Robbie's free guide reveals the posture secret hiding in plain sight.

Hi Jimi, it’s Sarah.

Picture a really healthy breakfast.

Maybe a warm bowl of oatmeal made with almond milk, topped with blueberries and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

It’s plant-based, full of fiber, and a world away from the bacon-and-pastry breakfasts so many of us grew up on. If that looks like your bowl most mornings, you’re doing a lot of things right.

But, there’s something missing from many plant-based breakfasts. And it matters more with every birthday.

I’m talking about protein.

⇒ This free guide shows you the plant foods that pack the most protein (some of them will surprise you)

Top 15 Best Sources of Plant-Based Protein.png

Now, you might be thinking, “That’s okay. I’ll get my protein fix at lunch and dinner.”

That’s what most of us assume.

For years, it’s what a lot of nutrition experts said, too: as long as your daily total adds up, the timing doesn’t really matter.

But research on aging muscle tells a different story.

Every time you eat protein, it sends a signal to your muscles: time to repair and rebuild. When you’re younger, a modest amount of protein flips that switch easily.

As we get older, our muscles become less responsive to that signal.

Researchers have a name for this: “anabolic resistance.”

In plain English, aging muscle needs a bigger dose of protein at one sitting to get the same rebuilding response.

Many researchers suggest that means somewhere around 25 to 30 grams of protein in a meal.

A healthy bowl of oatmeal might have 7 to 10 grams of protein.

That’s not enough protein to flip the muscle-repair switch at all.

And a protein-heavy dinner can’t go back in time and make up for the morning, because each meal gets its own chance to send that signal.

This isn’t just theory either.

A Canadian study tracked more than 1,700 older adults. Those who spread their protein evenly through the day had more muscle strength than those who saved most of it for dinner. (1)

Why does that matter so much?

Because muscle is what carries the groceries, gets you up off the couch, and keeps you steady on the stairs. It’s your independence.

Does this mean you need eggs or protein shakes? Not at all.

My friend Kim Murphy, a certified plant-based health coach, published a free guide, Top 15 Best Sources of Plant-Based Protein, that shows you:

 • How to find your own daily protein “sweet spot” (hint: don’t use the number on your scale)
 • Her 15 best plant proteins, with the grams for each one
 • One you might already sprinkle on your pasta
⇒ Download your free copy of this plant-based eating guide here

When you grab the guide, you’ll also get a free seat in Kim’s Plant-Based Beginner’s Bootcamp, a live 4-day challenge running November 3 to 6.

Day 3 is all about getting enough protein and calcium without meat or dairy, so you can keep your muscles and bones strong as you get older.

antifreeze in your lube?

Did anyone ever teach you about your vagina and how to care for her health? Unfortunately, as it turns out, most doctors were never taught either.

Your vaginal health tells a story. Your microbiome is one broad, connected system from your eyes and sinuses, mouth, gut, and it continues into your vagina.

Vaginal health remains one of the least talked about areas of women’s healthcare.

In today's episode on my podcast, we have Wendy Strgar, founder of Good Clean Love, who has spent decades studying what vaginal tissue actually needs to thrive. She’s here to teach us about vaginal health, sexual health, and restorative approaches to caring for your vaginal microbiome.

After four babies and a prolapse surgery, sex became painful for Wendy. The lubricants her doctor handed her left her soaking in the tub for hours to stop the burning.

Then she learned that most lubricants on the shelf are made with the same compounds used in antifreeze. It's startling to imagine what that does to the most sensitive tissue in your body!

In this episode, we are talking about:

 • Why your vaginal microbiome deserves the same attention we give the gut
 • What declining estrogen really does to vaginal and urinary tissue
 • How common products can shift your pH into BV territory within hours
 • Why recurring infections need more than another round of the same prescription
If no one has ever taught you about how to care for your vaginal health or if dryness, burning, and UTIs are a recurrence, this talk has answers for you!

[SQ1] Module 7: Spiritual Healing is LIVE! (Please read before watching)

Hi Jimi! Most of my life I've taken the road less traveled.I'm an only child and I never really fit in as a kid...I questioned everything. And I was often inclined to do the opposite of what everyone else was doing... not because I wanted to be different. I just was different. When faced with cancer, I went against conventional advice and instead, relied on my instincts, intuition and faith to guide me on the path to healing.I prayed a lot. I prayed for wisdom and guidance. I prayed for strength. I prayed for my wife and family, and I prayed for peace, and for healing...I was desperate, and I reached out and asked for help. And I got it.I stepped out in faith, into the unknown, alone... And miracles happened. People and information came into my life at exactly the right time. I knew it wasn't coincidence.Yes, I took Massive Action to change my life...But it was clear to me that God was guiding me and answering my prayers.Tonight's module on Spiritual Healing and last night's module on Stress are the two most important, most personal and powerful modules in the SQUARE ONE course. In tonight's Module, I will be sharing my faith journey with you, things I never shared publicly until I created this course... my struggles, doubts and fears, and the answers I found when I went looking with an open mind and an open heart.Module 7 will be challenging. And it may stir up some emotions...As you will see, I barely kept my composure through some of the sections, because I'm a big softy. :)This module is my heart. And my hope is that it will cut through all the layers, straight to yours. Here's your link to watch Module 7: Spiritual Healing now...https://go.chrisbeatcancer.com/spiritualhealing7-bnI’ll see you there,
