Scientists found a way to starve cancer while making immune cells stronger
Researchers have developed an experimental cell therapy that fights cancer by depriving tumors of one of their most important fuel sources. Many cancer cells depend on the amino acid glutamine to produce energy, build new cells, and grow rapidly. The engineered immune cells are designed to absorb large amounts of glutamine from the tumor environment, leaving cancer cells with too little of this essential nutrient to survive. At the same time, the therapy remains active in these low nutrient conditions, allowing the immune cells to continue attacking the tumor.
This approach creates a double attack against cancer. As the engineered immune cells consume glutamine, they also become more effective at recognizing and killing tumor cells. Meanwhile, the starving cancer cells struggle to repair themselves, divide, and resist the immune response. Researchers say this strategy transforms the tumor's own nutrient supply into a weakness rather than an advantage.
Scientists believe nutrient competition could become a powerful new direction in cancer treatment. Instead of targeting cancer cells directly with drugs alone, future therapies may reshape the tumor environment itself, making it increasingly difficult for cancer to grow while giving the immune system a much greater chance of eliminating the disease.

Vitamin B12 Linked to Brain Health

Dr. David Brownstein, M.D., writes:

Vitamin B12 deficiency is known to cause memory difficulties and dementia, particularly in older people. That’s because it helps maintain healthy nerve tissue. Therefore, deficiency results in the degeneration of nerve cells and tissues.

Because B12 deficiency causes degeneration of nerve tissues, it’s important to maintain high levels in midlife and later adult years. If deficiency persists for too long, the neurological consequences may not be reversible.

Special: Doctor: All Multivitamins Are Not the Same

Studies have shown that vitamin B12 therapy does not reverse Alzheimer’s disease. Vitamin B12 is safe and effective for preventing neurological decline, improving energy levels, and enhancing brain function.

For elderly people, B12 shots can provide remarkable results, regardless of initial levels. I frequently use vitamin B12 shots in my practice, and I have taught hundreds of patients to administer injections on their own.

I have a desire.I want to bring you to my place, draw you an herbal footbath, and listen to your story — to find out how you're doing in these challenging times. So many people I know are carrying anxiety, grief, overwhelm, or simply the feeling of being disconnected from themselves, from one another, and from the natural world.Since I can't welcome each of you into my living room, my dear friend and colleague Lauren Morgan and I created the next best thing:Rhythms & Relationships: A Feminine Way into HerbalismThis isn't another herbal course designed to help you memorize more plants or collect more information. It's a guided journey into a different way of learning, rooted in relationships.Together we'll explore how herbalism deepens when we engage not only our minds, but our senses, intuition, stories, dreams, and lived experience.

7 Signs Your Feet Are Warning You About Your Health

7 Signs Your Feet Are Warning You About Your Health
Your feet do a lot more than carry you from place to place — according to podiatrists and physicians, they can act as an early warning system for some surprisingly serious health conditions. Most people never connect the dots between a tingling sensation, a color change, or a slow-healing spot and what might actually be happening inside their bodies. This article walks through seven specific foot signals that doctors say deserve attention, what each one could indicate, and why catching these clues early can make a meaningful difference in your health outcomes. If you've ever dismissed an odd foot symptom as nothing, this might change how you look at your feet.

Hey Jimi,

If you’re reading this, you probably don’t need someone to tell you to eat more vegetables.

You already know fiber, protein, movement, sleep, and stress all play a role in long-term health. You’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, and made changes most people never get around to.

But if you’re like me, you still have questions.

What’s really happening with GLP-1 and appetite regulation?

How does insulin resistance build for years before blood sugar ever looks “bad” on a lab report?

Why does stress show up as belly fat, inflammation, and cravings?

Which supplements are important and which ones are a waste of money (or worse)?

The 2026 Food Revolution Summit Docuseries answers all of these questions and more.

It goes well past “eat better and manage your stress.”
It’s an eight-part event for people who want to understand what the latest breakthrough research says and how to apply it in real life.

From September 16–23, the entire series is streaming free for the final time, with all-new live sessions each day.

Hi Jimi,

If you already care about what you eat, how you live, and your long-term health -- but still feel inflamed, tired, or “stuck” -- I want to share something meaningful with you.

Food Matters is hosting a free global streaming event of Transcendence, a very powerful online series that goes deeper than nutrition or personal development alone...

Find out more and claim your free access to Transcendence right here

This isn’t another “eat better” documentary.

Transcendence explores how nutrition, gut health, nervous system regulation, and consciousness all work together to support real healing and peak performance.

As functional medicine & autoimmune specialist, Dr. Tom O’Bryan shares in the film, “If there’s only one thing you could do to have a healthier body, it’s to have a healthier gut.”

Across the series, you’ll discover how:

What you put at the end of your fork can be more powerful than anything in a pill bottle

  • Modern food choices -- including wheat, ultra-processed foods, and inflammatory ingredients -- impact the gut lining, immunity, and chronic inflammation
  • Plant-based nutrition, raw and living foods, juice cleansing, healing herbs, and sacred medicines each play a role when used intentionally
  • Chronic stress and fear keep the nervous system stuck in survival, blocking digestion, nutrient absorption, and weight regulation
  • Subconscious patterns override even the “perfect” diet
Across 10 episodes, you’ll hear from voices like Dr. Tom O’Bryan, Dr. Josh Axe, Dr. Mark Hyman, and Gabrielle Bernstein, exploring why healing -- whether from gut issues, skin problems, weight struggles, autoimmune conditions, or fatigue -- often stalls when the body doesn’t feel safe.

You’ll also hear the powerful story of tennis superstar Novak Djokovic, who explains how unresolved health issues were limiting his performance until he removed inflammatory foods, personalized his diet, and prioritized nervous system health. The transformation that followed reshaped his entire career.

Click here to learn more, Jimi, and watch Transcendence free starting September 10 if you are interested, and whatever you choose, enjoy your day!

ARTEMISIA (WORMWOOD): A bitter herb that's been used for digestive support for centuries, due to its bitterness. It wakes the gut up before your meal. The same compounds behind that strong taste also show antimicrobial and antiparasitic activity, which is why wormwood turns up in so many traditional gut protocols.

40+ wild edible plants, taught one at a time, filmed out in the field (by yours truly), across six modules covering foundations, wild greens, herbs and teas, wild fruits, and roots and nuts. Our foraging community costs NOTHING to join. Once you're in, click the Classroom tab and you'll find the course at the lowest price it will ever be. It’s only $97 now (and is easily worth 5X that with the production we created on this).
