Since I opened Regulate to Resilience last week, I’ve been getting some great questions. Here are the most common ones, with straight answers, so you can decide if it’s right for you before enrollment closes tomorrow night.

First, what people said after the workshop practice, because it says more than I can:

“LOVED! Whole being shifted.”
“Oh, that is what it feels like.”
“Really resonated. Lots of aha moments.”
“Thank you for putting this in words.”

(Haven’t watched it? The replay is here.)

“I’ve already tried nervous system stuff. How is this different?”
Most of what’s out there teaches calming, the same way, to everyone. Calming is one tool, and it’s the right one in some moments. As a whole approach, it’s often incomplete and generic. “Calming” can leave you stuck in activation, and it does little for a system that’s gone flat and needs to be woken up. This program teaches you to read which state you’re in, and helps you identify which practices your system responds to in that state, so you stop using techniques that make worse the state you’re already in. That’s what makes the tools you already have actually work.

“I’ve been coming to your monthly sessions. Is this just more of that?”
No. The monthly sessions are one practice, one evening, and I love them. This is six weeks in sequence: each state in turn, learned on your own system, with the practices for each one, until you’ve built your own Resilience Roadmap and know what to reach for without me in the room. The monthly sessions are a taste. This is the whole meal.

“Will this help my gut, fatigue, or sleep?”
The program doesn’t treat any condition, and no one can honestly promise that it will. But it will work on the state your body is operating in. A body held in threat turns down digestion, repair, and rest… often the exact things everything else you’ve tried has been aiming at. Changing that state gives the rest of your work better conditions to work with, and it gives your body the conditions to actually heal.

“What if I can’t make the live sessions?”
Every session is recorded, with replays within 24 hours and lifetime access. Live is best for the practice and the group, but the program is built to work by replay too. No problem if you need to go through it on your own time.

“How much time does it take?”
90 minutes a week for six weeks (Tuesdays at 12:00pm ET / 9:00am PT), plus short practices between sessions. A few minutes counts. Missing a day isn’t failing. Coming back to the practice is the skill you’re building. I’ve made it simple for you, but highly effective.

“Can I do this alongside my current protocol, practitioner, or therapy?”
Yes. That’s how it’s meant to work. Nothing here replaces what you’re already doing. It changes the conditions that work lands in, and allows it to finally start working the way it’s supposed to.

“Is this going to bring up more than I can handle?”
No. This is capacity building, not trauma processing or release work, and that’s deliberate. Every practice is enough to be useful and never pushed to a peak. You can take part as much as feels okay, or just listen. And if anything ever feels like too much, you stop, look around the room, feel your feet. We practice that in the first session, before anything else.

“I’m new to this. Or I’ve done a lot of it. Is it right for me?”
Yes. Everything is taught from the ground up in plain language. People with years of experience have usually collected tools without learning to read which state they’re in, and that’s what this teaches. Everyone is new to their own system.

This program is for you if…

  • You’ve done the protocols, the diets, and the labs, and you’re better but still stuck
  • You’re wired and exhausted at once, or flat and foggy, and rest doesn’t touch it
  • You react to more and more: foods, supplements, environments, people
  • You understand your patterns completely and still can’t stop them
  • You’ve tried calming down and breathing exercises and aren’t sure they did anything
  • You want to finally understand your own body, and know what to do when things flare
It’s not for you if…

  • You’re in crisis or currently unstable. That needs more support than a group program can give.
  • You want someone to do it for you. This works because you learn your own system.
  • You’re looking for intense, cathartic breathwork. This is the steady, sustainable version.
Here’s what people have said after working with me on this material:

“The nice thing about the nervous system states is that, once recognized, the exercises are easy to do, and it’s very helpful to know which exercises are appropriate for which state.”
“That was a super helpful reframe: to not look at it as laziness when it’s protection!”
“Things changed for me much more than I expected.”

Hi ,

Stiff, achy joints in the morning. Bloating that shows up after almost every meal.

Weight around your middle that hasn’t budged, no matter how carefully you eat.

Most of us treat these as three separate problems. A supplement for the joints. A new elimination diet for the gut. Fewer calories for the weight. Each one helps a little, for a while, and then things creep back.

But what if they aren’t three separate problems? That’s the question I’m answering live in Episode 6.

Stress doesn’t only live in your head.
A stressful thought sets off a very physical chain reaction: stress hormones rise, blood sugar lifts, and your whole body braces for a threat. That response is designed to switch off once the moment has passed. The trouble is, for so many of us, the moment never really passes. The workload, the caregiving, the constant low hum of worry. So the body stays on alert.

A body stuck on alert can start to show it in ways that don’t look like stress at all. The gut lining may take a hit, so meals sit heavily. Inflammation can stay switched on, so joints ache and flare. And cortisol keeps nudging blood sugar and cravings up, while the body tends to store weight around the middle.

That’s why treating each symptom on its own so often brings only temporary relief. The common thread is still running underneath.

In Episode 6 of the Food Matters Live Series, I’ll walk through the biology in plain language: how stress gets stuck in the body, why it shows up where it does, and a practical root-cause framework for calming your stress response through food, breathing, and sleep.

Episode 6: How Stress Gets Stuck in Your Body, and Shows Up as Pain, Inflammation, and Stubborn Weight

Hey Jimi,

When you think of immune-boosting foods…

I’m sure oranges, warm ginger, or green tea come to mind right away.

While I love those…

My current kitchen obsession is actually bright red bell peppers!

Most people think of citrus for vitamin C, but red bell peppers are secret powerhouses.

They pack even more vitamin C per serving than oranges.

They are also rich in beta-carotene.

(A plant antioxidant your liver turns into essential Vitamin A).

Together, they support active white blood cells and nurture your body’s natural defense barriers.

My favorite hack? Blending them raw with garlic for a quick, sweet immune dip.

In our new guide, we reveal 11 everyday superfoods hiding right in your kitchen!

Hi Jimi,

When you get a lipid panel back and your LDL is elevated, the standard medical response is usually a quick conversation and a prescription for a statin.

You’re often told that it’s just bad genetics, or that you need to "eat less fat," and then you’re sent on your way.

But that advice ignores the underlying biological mechanism of why your LDL cholesterol is accumulating in your blood.

Here’s what the research actually shows:

LDL cholesterol is a critical transport molecule your liver uses to export cholesterol and triglycerides to cells.

But if the LDL receptors in your liver aren’t working efficiently, your liver can’t recycle LDL appropriately.

When these LDL receptors become dysfunctional, LDL particles accumulate in circulation.

Over time, these particles can become oxidized, get lodged in the walls of blood vessels, and begin the atherosclerotic process.

This hardens blood vessels and increases your risk for high blood pressure in the future.

The biological mechanism that enables LDL receptors to begin recycling LDL once again is rooted both in what you eat and what you don’t eat.

There are 13 specific, evidence-based foods that contain phytosterols, soluble fiber, and antioxidants that act like biochemical keys.

When you eat them, they signal your liver to:

  • Reduce liver cholesterol production

  • Reduce liver cholesterol export

  • Increase liver cholesterol recycling

Tonight, Monday, October 19 at 7:00 PM ET,, my trusted friend and colleague Dr. Cyrus Khambatta, PhD is hosting a live webinar in which he’ll show you exactly what those foods are, and how you can get them in your life as soon as possible.

The webinar is called How to Lower Blood Pressure and LDL Cholesterol Naturally, and it has changed the lives of hundreds of people.

Hi Jimi,Some people call spinach a superfood. They say it may help fight cancer and metabolic syndrome, and that it’s good for your mood, your brain, and your eyes. Some even say it can make you strong, like Popeye.Others point out that spinach is high in oxalates, which can limit how much iron and calcium your body absorbs, and that conventionally grown spinach ranks second on the Dirty Dozen list of the most pesticide-contaminated produce. So is spinach good for you, or not?Get the whole spinach storyYours for informed food choices,Ocean RobbinsP.S. Some people love spinach. Others don’t. If you’d like to eat more of it but the taste isn’t your thing, there’s help for that too. Get the truth about spinach (and some fabulous recipes) now.

Quick reminder about something I mentioned a couple of weeks ago.

The documentary Body Burden: The Toxins We Carry is live right now.

And if you haven’t registered yet, no worries… you still got time.

The screening ends October 26,

Plus, it only takes about an hour to watch (61 minutes to be exact 😉).

I wanted to make sure you caught this one…

This isn’t just another video listing everything in the environment that might be bad for you.

It also looks at what environmental medicine doctors have been doing about these concerns since the 1970s.

You’ll see their approaches to detoxification, patient stories, and what happened when journalist Nick Pineault tested his own body.

His reported results included lead at 34 times the reference range and mercury at 29 times the reference range.

The documentary also follows what happened after he used the protocols featured in the film.

I think it’s worth watching because it goes beyond the usual scare tactics.

You get to see the testing, hear the stories, and learn about approaches these practitioners use.

Dear Jimi,

I hope you're ready for a great new week ahead :).

Have you ever wondered whether the foods on your plate could help lower your cancer risk... or whether some everyday eating habits might be working against your long-term health?

Research continues to show that what we eat plays a major role in long-term health, including cancer risk.

Highly processed foods, excess saturated fat, and low fiber intake have all been linked to increased inflammation and disease risk.

On the other hand, diets rich in whole plant foods – vegetables, fruits, legumes, whole grains, nuts, and seeds – are associated with a lower risk of certain cancers and other chronic diseases.

That’s not hype. That’s decades of nutrition science.

But here’s the challenge...

Most people don’t need more information.

They need a simple, doable plan.

That’s why our friend Kim Murphy from Simply Plant Based Kitchen is hosting a FREE 4-day online experience called the Plant-Based Beginner’s Bootcamp.

Hi Jimi!

There are SO MANY heartfelt comments about Module 6...

This was the best module so far, for me. Everything you spoke about is happening to me right now. Thank you. - William

Wow, wow, wow! Extremely on point. That explains why I experience (physical) pain and discomfort when I get excited. Unforgiveness and confession really hit home. Thank you for the relevant life lessons Chris. It's "life support!" - Keith

A brilliant video. Thank you. Wish it could go viral on the internet. I’ve needed to let go the hurt from others over the years. Now I can. My heart will be cleaned. X - Gill

Module 6 should hang in every cancer clinic in the world... excellent!! Thank you Chris, God bless - Mary

So often we don’t even realize that we are living in a state of chronic stress and how heavy that burden is. It's like carrying a backpack full of bricks...

But once you remove the stresses from your life, it’s like you slip right out of that backpack and it drops to the ground and you leave it behind.

Removing stress and healing your heart is critical to restoring your health and keeping your immune system strong.

If you haven't yet, make time to watch Module 6 and let's identify and eliminate the toxic stress in your life together. :)

Module 6 will only be online until 8pm Eastern Time tonight.

Hi Jimi!

The next LIVE Q&A for SQUARE ONE Members will be Tuesday, October 20th, at 7 PM Central US Time.

Here's the link to register and post your questions in advance. If you haven't used Crowdcast before, you will need to create a free account.

https://www.crowdcast.io/c/ALdDjAs3BhRvFRsBz4sj5

Once you are logged in to the Crowdcast event, click the Question Mark icon (?) to post your questions in advance. If you have more than one question on different topics, please post them individually.

You can also vote for other questions that you want me to answer. The highest-voted questions move to the top of the list and will be answered first.

Please do not post your questions in the Chat section; that's for live chatting during the call.

Before posting your questions, please skim through the CANCER ANSWERS BOOK (Click on the 'Resources' tab and scroll down to 'Q&A Archives' in the membership site) and make sure I haven't already answered your question. That way, I can focus on answering unique questions on the live call.

I recommend watching the Live Q&A on a desktop, laptop, or iPad so you can see the video and the chat at the same time. Firefox and Chrome browsers tend to work best. For iPhone & iPad, install the free Crowdcast Mobile app in the Apple App Store.

Here are some helpful videos on:
