Week 1 My Minds Failure (Or Did I Quit Smoking)

My best advice to you is to keep your vape, or two vapes, filled, charged and ready, and keep your cigarettes a little further away from you. When an urge comes, try vaping first. Smoke only if you have to.

Dual use, both vaping and smoking, has helped many people quit cigarettes forever.

The only real failure would be to give up.

Here's some encouragement. :)

I smoked 2 packs a day for over 40 years, plus my mom smoked when she was pregnant with me, and I grew up in a house full of smokers. So basically I was a smoker from conception on.

Well, I was to the point of wheezing and crackling and I had no stamina whatsoever, and I really wanted to quit, but I was a slave to the tobacco. I'd heard of vaping, so I got a disposable (I know, right?) to try it out, and it kept me from smoking for the whole day. I'd never gone a whole day without smoking before. So then I got a pen-style vape (Kanger something) and quit cigarettes the day it arrived. I wanted to quit, so maybe that made it easier, but I never looked back. I found out I didn't even like the taste of tobacco. Or the smell. Ugh. I fell in love with fruit and mint flavored vapes, and went from there. It was SO different, but I still had the suck-and-blow going on, and that kept me from smoking.

Now, 11 years later, I went to the hospital for kidney problems and they asked me if I smoked. I said no. (Because I don't.) And that was it. They listened to my lungs, they were perfectly clear. They took x-rays of my chest, it was perfectly clear. It's like I never smoked at all, ever.

I don't know if you're having problems with breathing or heart or stamina or anything, but if you are, consider that it can all heal and be reversed if you can quit and stay quit. I know this sounds trite, but it's true: If I can do it, as hard-core as I was, anyone can. I have my fingers crossed for you.
