The team at Goodness Lover interviewed their summit guests to find out what they personally do to stay strong and healthy as they age, Jimi.

They shared things like:

  • A pocket-sized snack linked to a 40% lower risk of cardiovascular death
  • The humble food group that was the only one to consistently predict survival across five different populations – with every additional 20 grams a day linked to a 7-8% lower risk of death
  • The specific type of movement an ER doctor prescribes to stop bone loss and build new bone
These aren’t routines you can only access in expensive longevity clinics.

They’re habits and tips you can easily use in your everyday life.

Jimi,

If eating the healthy thing constantly requires more effort and discipline, it’s not a matter of if but when you fall back to the easier (and unhealthy) option. I said what I said.

Twenty-year PMP nerd and systems girlie here, and this is the SECOND predictable failure point in your diet.

Because what I know from personal experience and what I hear from women every day is that the only diet we can stick to, is the see-food diet. When I see food, I eat it.

But what if you knew how to make the healthy choice the easier choice? If that sounds interesting to you, keep listening.

Hey ,

The all-access replay for the Food Sensitivity Summit is happening this weekend and you don’t want to miss the gems that were shared in this powerful event.

If you're not sure where to start, these 3 conversations really stood out to me:

Why Food Sensitivities Lead To Autoimmunity - Dr. Datis Kharrazian

Dr. Kharrazian is a Harvard researcher, functional neurologist and clinical educator in functional medicine.

His session clearly outlines the mechanisms of food sensitivities and why molecular mimicry drives autoimmune disease.

One of the more fascinating things he gets into is his explanation of ‘neo-protiens’ and how heat alters the structure of food proteins, making them more or less reactive after they’ve been cooked.

Watch his session here.

Gut Health Starts in the Mouth - Dr. Sanda Moldovan

Most food sensitivity conversations start in the gut. Biological dentist Dr. Moldovan makes the case that they should start earlier, in the mouth.

The oral microbiome is the first stop for everything you eat.

When it's out of balance, from mercury fillings, fluoride, crowns, root canals, or mouth breathing, it sends a cascade of inflammatory signals directly into the digestive system and nervous system before food ever reaches the gut.

Her session covers the specific oral conditions that fuel food reactivity, and what addressing them can do for people who feel like they've tried everything else.

Watch her session here.

From 5 Foods to Freedom - Andrew DeGregorio

Andrew is a high-level executive coach who spent years eating roughly five foods because everything else triggered a reaction.

He went through conventional, integrative, and alternative health approaches for years and came up empty. Tests kept coming back clean. Doctors kept dropping him.

What eventually turned things around had nothing to do with his food list. It had to do with his nervous system.

After years of cumulative stress, head trauma, hidden infections, and improper detox protocols, he discovered his body had crossed a threshold into what he describes as permanent high-alert threat mode, where even fruits and vegetables were registering as dangerous.

In his session, he explains his breakthrough moment and what the process of recovery actually looked like.

It's one of the more inspiring personal accounts in the whole summit.

Watch his session here.

All 3 sessions (plus 12 more) are available on demand through Sunday at midnight.

Wishing you abundant health,

Jason Prall

P.S. Many summit attendees were astounded at how much of what they've been told about food sensitivities turns out to be incomplete or just wrong.

The experts in the Food Sensitivity Summit make a compelling case to look at things differently.

If you've been following the standard advice of more testing, cut out more foods, fix your gut - and you haven't seen the results you've hoped for, tune in this weekend.

You might just walk away with the missing piece that you need to eat without fear again!

You can watch all 15 on-demand sessions through Sunday at midnight.

Sign up to watch this weekend for the last time.

Did you know that one simple change in how you prepare potatoes can dramatically increase a type of starch that feeds beneficial gut bacteria? I'll share this surprising trick with you further below in this email!

Afterward, to discover all 30 of the top everyday foods to cool chronic inflammation, protect your gut, and fight “inflammaging,” be sure to grab this excellent new guide...

→ Click Here for 30 EVERYDAY FOODS THAT COOL INFLAMMATION — Get Your Free Guide + 3 Other Bonus Gifts

Veteran health researcher and nutrition expert Sarah Otto is giving you this guide (and the three other new health guides you will see) when you register for her forthcoming free online event, The Gut-Aging Solution.

And you will especially appreciate this guide because it addresses something that's becoming increasingly important as we get older:

“INFLAMMAGING.”

That's the term scientists use for the chronic, low-grade inflammation associated with aging that can contribute to stiff joints, fatigue, brain fog, and other age-related health problems.

And what happens in your gut can play a major role in this process.

The encouraging news?

Some of the simplest steps for helping keep inflammation in check may be sitting right in your kitchen.

In this new guide, Sarah reveals 30 everyday foods packed with nutrients and natural compounds that can benefit your gut and help your body regulate inflammation.

You'll learn the science behind them, what makes each food especially valuable, and easy ways to enjoy more of them.

For example, you'll discover...

→ The food with an unexpected connection to better sleep — including a naturally occurring substance involved in regulating your sleep-wake cycle.

→ The popular food that can become more beneficial when you cook it — thanks to a fascinating change in the availability of one of its most valuable natural compounds.

→ The surprising findings from a six-week human study involving stiff, aching knees — and the familiar food researchers used to help improve joint stiffness and physical function.

→ The common nut that's the #1 food out of any in the guide — and happens to contain more omega-3s than any other tree nut

→ The colorful fruits linked to healthier brain aging, including natural pigments that help counter oxidative stress and regulate inflammation.

→ The everyday drink containing a plant compound that can influence one of the body's central inflammatory signaling pathways

Okay, Jimi, now let's talk about one of the foods featured in the new guide...

POTATOES!

Most people think of potatoes as a starchy food that can raise blood sugar.

And that's understandable. Potatoes contain carbohydrates that your body can break down into glucose.

But here's where things get fascinating...

What if you could change some of that starch into a form your body DOESN'T digest in the usual way—simply by changing how you prepare your potatoes?

Well, you can!

And it doesn't require adding a single ingredient.

Here's the trick:

Cook your potatoes, then let them cool in the refrigerator for several hours—ideally overnight.

As cooked potatoes cool, some of their starch molecules rearrange themselves into a more digestion-resistant structure.

Scientists call this process retrogradation.

And the resulting starch is known as RESISTANT STARCH.

Why is that so interesting?

Because unlike ordinary digestible starch, resistant starch passes through much of your digestive system without being broken down.

Instead, it reaches your large intestine, where it becomes food for beneficial gut bacteria!

And those bacteria can ferment it into compounds called short-chain fatty acids, including one that's particularly important:

BUTYRATE.

Butyrate helps nourish the cells lining your colon, maintain a healthier intestinal barrier, and regulate inflammatory processes.

And considering the connection between gut health and chronic inflammation, that's a benefit worth knowing about!

Now here's the really surprising part...

The research discussed in Sarah's guide indicates that cooling potatoes overnight after cooking can roughly DOUBLE or even TRIPLE their resistant starch content.

All from something as simple as refrigeration!

Of course, that doesn't mean the potatoes have suddenly become carbohydrate-free or that their effect on blood sugar disappears.

But it does mean you've changed some of their starch into a form that can provide additional benefits to your gut microbiome.

And what if you prefer your potatoes HOT?

Here's more good news...

You can reheat them!

Research suggests that reheating doesn't completely reverse the resistant-starch increase.

So you don't have to eat cold potatoes to take advantage of this trick.

You can cook a batch today, refrigerate them overnight, and enjoy them reheated tomorrow.

And the same general principle applies to other starchy foods, including rice, pasta, and oats.

Just be sure to refrigerate cooked foods promptly and store and reheat them safely.

This is a perfect example of the practical, science-based discoveries that make Sarah's new Inflammaging guide worth reading.

A tiny change in your kitchen routine can change how a familiar food interacts with your digestive system.

And potatoes are only ONE of the 30 foods covered in the guide!

→ Discover the Other 29 Top Foods to Help Cool “Inflammaging” — Get Your Free Guide Here Right Now

What I especially appreciate is that this guide doesn't send you searching for expensive or obscure superfoods.

You'll discover familiar fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains, spices, and other foods that are easy to work into your meals.

And for every featured food, Sarah explains WHY it deserves a place in your diet and HOW you can enjoy more of it.

She even includes a one-day mini anti-inflammatory meal plan to help you put these discoveries into practice.

Hi friend,

Has heart disease touched your family?

Unfortunately, it is all too common, and most families will have to answer yes to this question.

The heart is also part of a body system where herbalists tend to hesitate the most. Alarming diagnoses, prescribed medications, and complicated lab results can create a sense that the stakes are just too high to get it wrong when we are trying to choose herbs to help.

This is why my friend and colleague Rosalee de la Forêt, teamed up with clinical herbalist Richard Mandelbaum to create a new course.

This comprehensive course is built to provide the information and experiences that can alleviate our hesitation to call on the herbs to help those struggling with heart disease.

It doesn’t just hand you a list of heart herbs. It builds a whole framework: how to assess what's actually going on with someone, how to read the energetic pattern underneath a biomedical diagnosis, how to understand labs and medications without being intimidated by them, and how to bring herbs, food, and daily life together into care that fits the person in front of you.

There will be six live classes (plus recordings):

  • Assessment, and seeing the whole heart
  • Prevention, and the daily practices that do the heavy lifting
  • Atherosclerosis and cholesterol, including an honest conversation about statins
  • Blood pressure, high and low and everything between
  • Arrhythmias, heart failure, and stroke
  • Case studies, start to finish
Plus a cardiovascular anatomy and physiology class, a safety curriculum covering scope of practice and herb-drug interactions, and downloadable monographs you'll keep.

Every class is taught live with real time for questions, and recorded if you can't be there. There's a private community for the group, and an optional certificate documenting 15 hours toward AHG education requirements.

This is the first time Rosalee and Rich are teaching it live, which means two things. You get them at their most present, answering questions as they come and shaping the course as it goes.

It also means they’re offering the course at the lowest price it will ever be.

When you join, you'll also be supporting LearningHerbs. We receive a commission when you join through the link below. Please know that we only promote learning experiences that align with our program and we stand behind the quality of their work.

Enrollment closes Wednesday, October 28th.

I knew so much about natural healing. So why was I still struggling?

For years, I immersed myself in the world of natural healing.

I studied nutrition, researched natural therapies, explored meditation, and learned from some of the leading voices in holistic health.

I became a filmmaker, author, and educator, sharing what I was learning with people looking for answers to their health challenges.

From the outside, it might have looked like I had it all figured out.

But here's something I don't think we talk about enough…

Knowing what supports your health and actually experiencing healing yourself aren't always the same thing.

Even with everything I knew, I still struggled with my own health.

I tried to find answers by doing more, learning more, and looking for the next thing that might make a difference.

But eventually, I began to see something I hadn't fully understood before.

Maybe healing wasn't just about what I was putting into my body or the practices I was following.

Maybe I also needed to understand what was happening beneath the surface.

The stress I was carrying. The patterns I had developed. The connection between my mind, my emotions, and my body.

That realization changed the direction of my work.

And it's a big part of why I feel so passionate about helping you and thousands of others to explore a more complete approach to healing.

Recently, I had the opportunity to share more of my personal journey on Boundless Body Radio, including the experiences that shaped my understanding of healing and the lessons I wish I'd understood much earlier.

If you've ever felt like you're doing everything you're supposed to do for your health, yet something still isn't clicking, I think this conversation may really resonate with you.

I'd love for you to take a little time to listen.

Listen to my story here →

Sometimes, the most important breakthroughs happen when we stop looking for more things to do and start asking a different question.

That's a lesson I'll never stop sharing.
With gratitude,

Dr. Osborne here,
